With all due respect, I refer to the above matter.
2. As everyone is aware, a conflict between Palestine and Israel has led to a few global attempts in hacking Israel’s website and condemning Israel supporters’ social media accounts, in which involved some Malaysians.
3. For your information, Pusat Kawalan dan Penyelarasan Siber Nasional (NC4), Agensi Keselamatan Siber Negara (NACSA) has issued a notification of cyber-attacks by Zionist regime supporters on Malaysian organizations including Application System and Government Websites due to the said incident.
4. Therefore, for the sake of our safety, everyone’s cooperation is crucial to avoid any cyber-attacks on the Department’s ICT by doing the following:
- Shut down the computer when not in use or before leaving the office;
- Update email and computer passwords (please use passwords with a combination of alphabets, numbers and special characters (&, *, %, #);
- Do not open suspicious emails or attachment sent by strangers on any platforms (email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram etc); and
- Do not visit suspicious website links sent through email, WhatsApp, telegram, and other social media.
