COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAM AMONG LEADERS OF ORANG ASLI COMMUNITY IN KAMPUNG ORANG ASLI TANAH ABANG, MERSING, JOHOR.
2 July 2021, Mersing – A total of 215 Orang Asli community have received Covid-19 vaccine in Kampung Orang Asli Tanah Abang.
Out of 215 people, six individuals are from Kampung Orang Asli Tanjung Tuan, including the Tok Batin.
YB Datuk Dr. Abdul Latiff bin Ahmad, Minister of Rural Development was present in surveying the vaccination program which was conducted at “PPV Bas Bergerak MARA Liner” as well as the village’s community hall.
Also present, KSU KPLB, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Jailani bin Muhamed Yunus.

According to Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia (MPM), a total of 33 candidates out of 73 Orang Asli 2020 STPM candidates who achieved 2.8 CGPA and above (4.0).

It is truly disappointing when certain people from our society keen on accusing officers of JAKOA.
The accusations demotivate the officers who have been facing the risks of Covid-19 pandemics together in helping our community.
In relation to matters of health, JAKOA officers came forward to help KKM spread information and provide aids for the villagers’ need.

Engagement Session with Agencies Related to Recruitment of 2020 SPM Leavers Among Orang Asli Students

18 June 2021, Kuala Lumpur – JAKOA has held an online Engagement Session with agencies related to the recruitment of 2020 SPM leavers among Orang Asli students today.
The purpose of this Engagement Session is for JAKOA to ensure that every Orang Asli student is not left behind from mainstream education and eventually gets the opportunity to further their studies at tertiary levels.
The agencies involved include UiTM, UniKL, KPM Matrix, PplyCC KPT, MARA Skills and Technical Division, GIATMARA, UCAM, FELCRA College, GMI and several other related agencies.
This engagement session was chaired by Tuan Hj Mohd Zamri bin Mustajap, Deputy Director General (Development) of JAKOA Malaysia.

Site visit of the JAKOA Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan, Assistant Director Pn. Dahlia Permid to Hulu Kemensah Orang Asli Village and Desa Temuan Bukit Lanjan

5 Mei 2021, Gombak dan Petaling District – Site visit of the JAKOA Negeri Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan Pn. Dahlia Permid to Hulu Kemensah Orang Asli Village and Desa Temuan Bukit Lanjan.
The first visit to Hulu Kemensah Orang Asli Village, the Assisstant Director donated food basket and asked for information of Mr Sabri a/l Ahang’s family necessities who has two discled children (OKU).
After that, she visited Desa Temuan Bukit Lanjan dan Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Lanjan as well as Tabika KEMAS Bukit Lanjan to see the students’ progress and the community’s needs.
Pn. Fauziah binti Omar Head of PMIK Unit JAKOA Negeri Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan were also present during the visit.
